I like most of the designs, the sword especially. However it all depends on how anet uses them. I hope they'll actually put time and effort and use special effects like they did on tormented weapons to make weapons in general more interesting.

Tormented weapons are the best out there! I wonder why no one used the ideas of Tormented weapons design (purple color that glows and look like mirror) to be incorporated with some of these new weapons?

All of them look good to be honest. At the top of my list are the two shields twin dragon and demonic eye ones. Followed by the two swords the exotic one by Andre Roux and the emerald sword by Findur Calenardhon.
@clawofcrimson- I have no idea either lol.
I'm still trying to figure out what this is: http://www.guildwars.com/events/cont...pon07/hm-n.php Pretty hot cobra design. Problem is I can't tell if its a wand or an axe.

Meh.
The only interesting one is the Shield.But that will be dependant on whether or not its going to clip on Warrior Primeval Armor...
And also whether or not Anet will simply make this a generic shitty green item.

Wow, some of those look pretty cool to me. I like that staff with the dragon/phoenix head looking thingy. The bow is cool too, but how will it fall in line with the T rating?

@MP - caption in pic says Serpent Axe
@teenchi - strategic leaves?
To those wondering about some of the winners, don't forget that the concept is the important thing. The finished weapon might not look like the entry. ANet might use the detail on a different type of weapon or take the concept and use a different design.
I was amazed at the creativity shown by all the entries that I've seen. Where do you people get these ideas? I look at the drawings and say, YES, I WANT THAT, but could never have thought of it on my own.
As to size, you male warriors are all overdeveloped. Don't forget there are plenty of female warriors out there who don't look for weapons that replace lifting weights for exercise.

Quite a few of these designs are very high quality. But some...

I liked the Gavel, although it could have been a little bigger. I hope they do not make these into the typical massive wamo weapons - realistic sizes look so much better. The stygian reaver and fellblade are two of the worst skins they have, simply because they are way to big.
Anyways, there are only a few I acualy like - and ArenaNet, do NOT make these into green items.
Findur Calenardhon - Emerald Sword, Honorable Mention
Andre Roux - Blue Sword, Contest Winner
Anthony Lopes - Celestial Focus, Contest Winner
Jesus Galan Coronado - Twin Dragon Shield, Honorable Mention

I was so ticked that this didn't make it.
http://www.guildwars.com/events/cont...pon07/hm-d.php
We have enough evil looking scythes, the only good aligned looking one would be the original sunspear scythe. This lady looks really holy and all and would great on a dervish in white vabbi armor
The dragon is nice I just hope they don't go with a red head... red dragon is too cliche... MAKE IT BLUE!

The sword was my design, and I can assure you it came straight out of my imagination, no reference material, no real insperation. Theres nothing worse to an artist to feel accused, even if you didn't spell it out..., of ripping or plagarizing another design. Please think of that when you post such things.

Qft, it's always sad to see others open their mouths only to piss on others for no good reason *gives Skuld and Lightblade the evil eye*. If you don't like something, fine, but you can at least be respectful in your expression of your opinion. People obviously spent a LOT of time on some of these and deserve some credit for their efforts, even if you don't like their style. If that's too much to ask, then I'm sure we'll all be able to sleep at night if you just keep your opinions to yourself.
@DarkZeal
I like your designs, particularly the Scythe. Too bad they didn't make the winners.
